The only was you access the Citadel is to go thru the museum - which means buying a ticket for it. I was not particularly impressed with the Citadel. There was very little information given - and that included in French. Mostly it was good...More

We found the citadel very interesting. Great views. Check out the dungeon, the barracks, the latrines. It was Sunday so it was free. You access the citadel through the museum. It was quite accessible and worth half an hour wander around.

Not sure why it was closed when other people have visited recently - it was open, there were at least 5 different areas of the museum to visit, and we really enjoyed learning about Corsican history and culture, particularly the origins of the Moor Man...More

Extremely disappointed. Nothing on the national tourist website about it being closed. Nothing on their Facebook hours of operation and then this am closed. Only posted 5pm yesterday as a Facebook posting. Not acceptable for a famous site.

Fantastic citadelle, very unique experience.. one of my highlights in Corsica. We booked the petit train and had concession entry to the musee and citadelle. We had decided to take a break from touring and spend the day in Corte... this was totally worth it.....More

A great museum is included in the admission price but the citadelle itself is quite ordinary. There are no information boards so it is difficult to gain a lot from the visit

Hi, Daren, sorry, I'm reading your question only now. No, in my opinion, it is'nt enought to see spending one day. In two hours, you see everything. Good trip.
