A surprising delight in Tuscany
Oct 2019 • Couples
Driving through Tuscany we found this incredibly beautiful winery tucked in the hills. The manager, Jocopo, sat with us pouring wine after wine, a delicious Chianti. This organic winery uses only Sangiovese grapes. We spent two hours learning about the winery and the olive groves that surround the vines and how they keep the deer and wild boar out of the vineyards.....a delightful discovery.

Wines are made with 100% Sangiovese
Dec 2019 • Couples
Great winery to tour and taste. We loved the fact that this winery chooses to make their Classic Chianti with 100 percent Sangiovese. Most vineyards do the required 80%. They let us taste their Classic Chianti and then opened a few more bottles to taste as well. The employees were very good and had no problems speaking English. The grounds here are fantastic!

A Real Tuscan Winery Experience Near Panzano
Jul 2018 • Friends
I have been fortunate enough to have been able to spend part of the summer in Panzano for more than the past 25 years. During this time we have watched and enjoyed the evolution of Il Molino di Grace into a wonderful winery and a place we take our friends to and recommend to people looking for a genuine Chianti winery experience. The development of Il Molino has been a labour of love for Frank Grace, his family and the team on site.

The red wines (no whites here that I know of) they produce are competitive with the best in the region. The olive oil (from the property) and balsamic vinegar (produced in Modena using input from Il Molino) are “top drawer”. Il Molino provides a great tasting experience for all of their products, where you are served by polite, knowledgeable, helpful people. In our experience, Il Molino products are all a good value for money proposition relative to most of the better producers.

We do not go a season without taking home at least 3 litres of oil, several bottles of the balsamic vinegar along with as much wine as the Government of Canada allows us to bring. Il Molino di Grace is a stop in the valle d'oro /Chianti Classico that is not to be missed.

Recommend highly, without reservation.

If You Like Chianti, You'll Love This Place
Jul 2018 • Couples
On our tour of Italy, we stopped for a wine tasting of Chianti at Il Milino di Grace. A young woman told us all about how the wine is made, and we had small samples of three different Chiantis that varied by their sophistication and price. Naturally, my wife and I liked the cheapest version best. The snacks were slivers of white cheese, an awful-looking marbled meat, and a sort of round pretzel, which I really liked. The cheese and the pretzels were outstanding. All in all, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend it if you're in the area.

The biggest disappointment
Jul 2018 • Couples
Went to several places to taste and buy some wines. But we never had such a bad experience. If you want to get ripped off, this is the best place to go for. No honesty. They give you 2014 wines pretending the 2015 isn't available yet.
From now on, i will buy my wine from other producers. Just sellers but not loving what they are are producing.

Enjoyed the high quality Chianti
May 2018 • Couples
Tasting of Chianti Classico, Riserva and IGT Gratius. Impressed that winery is moving to specialise in 100% Sangiovese. Excellent tastings, organised by Insight Vacations.
The surrounding scenery is to die for, typical Tuscan Hills dotted with grapes and olives.

Wonderful

We dropped in for a winery tour and tasting. The staff member who showed us round was so very helpful and knowledgeable and made our visit fantastic. The winery itself is beautiful and the wines were fantastic, we tasted 6 varieties including 2 "super tuscans" and having bought a couple of bottles afterwards we were not charged anything for the tour. Would have paid more than the cost of the two bottles for such a fantastic experience so it felt like we got two bottles of fantastic wine for free. Very happy!!

Even though it says tasting cost of 5 euro will not be reduced of purchases they didn’t charge for tasting. The rule with wines is if the cheapest they sell is good the more expensive will be great. Very true! Hostess very knowledgeable on vintages and years. We bought a riserva and balsamic and weren’t charged for tasting. Excellent winery

Astonishing wine

Amazing experience in the heart of the Chianti region. 30 min from Siena and close to Florence at the same time... It worths a visit while wandering in this panorama-full piece of Earth. It's cheap too and suitable for big groups also!
