Our local Mr Derek Kettlewell is very friendly

All his jam and chutney are homemade. Try and share his horse racing tips. Sometimes his son is a mind of knowledge.

Drove 3 miles down the single track road to find a small cluster of farm building, furniture from the "tasting centre" outside being refurbished, an open door into the building and not a soul in sight - nor did anyone - apart from 2 walkers expecting to get a drink, cake and buy some products - and after 10 minutes... After walking around Semerwater, we visited the little tea room at Raydale Preserves and what a lovely little find. The venue is quite magical, set as it is, in this lovely little hamlet. The owner is a lovely man, warm and welcoming... we enjoyed a refreshing cool drink in the little courtyard and purchased some pretty Victorian china on sale... More

Lovely tasting room & prices very reasonable. New salad dressing is gorgeous. While in the village a visit to the tiny church is a must.

Stumbled on this little gem of a family business on a walk from Semerwater, stopped for tea and a scone with delicious jam. Now use their produce on the welcome tray in our cottage and everyone raves about it (black currant is my favourite along with the breakfast marmalade and the lemon and lime marmalade is my Father in Law's... The tasting part of the business was fine, and the jams and other preserves are lovely. However, We thought a charge of £4 for a pot of tea for two (one tea bag) was excessive and the cake portions were small for £2. Our fault for going along with it I suppose, though the cakes weren't on view, so we... More

We had seen their products in lots of local shops and decided to call in whilst walk in Semmerwater. A friendly welcome from the owner with delicious smells of chutney simmering on the stove. We didn't stay for tea and cake as we'd just picniced but would recommend it if you've been walking in this Dale and feel like getting... More

Me and my husband visited Wensleydale on our holiday, we discovered the gorgeous lake semer water and a beautiful little hamlet called stalling busk. Where there is a nice little tearoom of Raydale preserves. Some gorgeous preserves out to try, cake and coffee available. The building itself is a gorgeous barn with some interesting photos decorating the walls. If it... More
