This has to be the most adorable castle to ever exist. The grounds are beautiful. Its size and color make it seem like there should be rainbows and unicorns present (but I didn't see any). This was absolutely my favorite castle in the Highlands, and...More

Craigievar Castle and its delightful tour were my favorites of our Scotland trip. Unable to ascend stairs, I was taken to an outside bench for a personal 'book tour' in the sunshine. John L. sat with me for an hour, telling the castle's history and...More

The castle is pink and rises 5 stories. You climb thru the entire castle using narrow turret stairs. You end up on the roof that has great views of the area. The guide was beyond knowledgeable. It is filled with furniture and decorations that go...More

This is one of the most enjoyable castles we visited in our week tour of the Highlands. This is a very delightfully pink and personal castle, no moats and ramparts - just a small (for a castle) dwelling with fascinating history, and a wealth of...More

Pink might not be your colour but this castle suits it well. Great tour given by John, very helpful and knowledgeable. Great interior with loads to see. Stairs may be difficult for some. Great grounds to wander round and great views.

This castle looks like it got frozen in time. Almost no modification is done to the castle, only some modifications. The tour guide was really fun, a lot of good humour and information!

Superb tour with an even more superb tour guide. Everything in the castle is original and it has secret passages ways (which you are allowed to investigate) and of course a ghost story

I would say this is more of a cross between a tower and a castle, it really is unique and well worth a visit. We had a very informative tour of the castle , explaining the history with some interesting stories too. It should be...More

This is a beautiful castle and, by far, in my top three castles in Scotland. Set within beautiful wooded grounds, there is ample parking and gorgeous trails to explore, so, a visit to Craigeivar can be a full excursion for those wishing to do so....More

Unfortunately the castle has quite steep stairs up to several levels and to really appreciate it you need visit all floors. I think your brother would feel left out if all he could do was to view the castle from outside.
