After heading down an ally to find this place, we saw a kind of a gallery with a few framed prints and some clay sculptures. There were 4 people on a terrace in the back. I asked if this was Casa de Arte and they said yes. It was a 2 minute stop with nothing to see. The building itself had interesting character and could be an art gallery. There was an odd metal sculpture out back. Not worth the hassle of parking and finding it.…

Exhibits change every couple of months or so and they also put on dance showcases on the back from time to time. I went last night and they were showcasing ballet school students to merengue music. Bars across the stree, you don't wanna miss!

The Casa de Arte ( House of Art) should be an immediate stop for any traveler visiting Santiago. This cultural gem has art, live music performances and is popular with the locals.
