We had a beautiful beach day at Monserrate. We planned to go to El Yunque but couldn't pull ourselves away from this stunning (and as it was off season nearly empty) beach. All the things that your mind conjures when thinking of pure relaxation existed here. A great little snack area where we had piña coladas...walks on the beach and... More

If you are staying in San Juan, rented a car, and are looking for a beautiful Puerto Rico Beach, Balneario Monserrate can be a great option! Here's why. In one day you could hike El Yunque Rain-Forest, have a cultural lunch at the Luquillo Kioskas, and visit a beautiful beach! It is also easy to find right off of the... More

When I think of Puerto Rico three things that stand out are El Morro, El Junque and Monserrate beach. This is one of four beaches in Luquillo. It is very protected and safe for swimming. One of the best beaches in Puerto Rico. Very clean. You can rent umbrellas for $3 and chairs for $5. Weekends can get crowded. Paid parking available.

Considered to be Puerto Rico's best beach, either way it is a nice scenic spot for lounging in the sand or swimming in the calm waters. Go during the week for plenty of space on the sand, especially in the afternoon, the water is always warm. Admission is per car, about $4, well worth it. Head over to the Luquillo... More

With white sandy beaches and crystal clear water Monserrate Beach is a must stop for anyone traveling to Puerto Rico. The cost to park is $4.75 and well worth it! My husbsnd and I were told by many locals to visit this beach for the breath taking views and the beach side eats that are supposed to capture the heart... More
