Visiting this iconic location is one of the memories I'll always treasure. The landforms are so unique and truely remarkable. It's worth plucking up the courage, putting on some 'good' hiking shoes and climbing Pyramid Rock. The views are breathtaking and the experience unforgettable. Even if you don't climb Pyramid Rock the creek area and local tracks leave you in... More

Didn't have too much time but enjoyed a roughly three kilometer walk through a mountainous forest with exciting rock formations and great views.

A great mix of walks for adults and kids. Climbing the Pyramids is a real challenge for the adults but trekking to The Junction 5km return is great for the family. The tracks are well prepared with pretty good signage - I see the National Parks are using poly wood (recycled plastic) for their sign structures and not using the... More

There are a number of great walks in this National Park, some steep walks up the Pyramids, or Castle Rock. However the walks to Dr Robert's Waterhole and the Underground Creek are mostly flat for a more gentle stroll.

This was a challenging hike to the top of the pyramids but the view was worth it! The natural rock formations were amazing.

We stayed at castle rock camping a few days. Toilets were clean, but the hot water showers were down. There is a boulder area next to the camp which children love to play at. We did Granite Arch and the Pyramids with a six year old and a baby in a harness. Later i did Castle Rock track alone. The... More

Girraween National Park (NP) in particular Castle Rock campgrounds turned out to meet and exceed all our expectations and was certainly everything the reviews had promised. The bitumen access road, great camping sites, massive granite outcrops, precariously balanced boulders, well maintained and signposted walking tracks, rock pools and spectacular views. The only setback was that the showers were not operating... More
