Nice views, pleasant walking trails, scenic, swing bridge

Very nice walking trails with great sea views. A lighthouse and temple are located on the hill and European architecture from when lots of history.

It is not a mountain or a hill in the true sense but a gentle elevation to a light house. There are buildings formerly functioned as residences, office buildings for foreign nations scattered throughout the hill. These buildings are now converted into museums. This area has historical significance in the modern Chinese history. The walk was peaceful and enjoyable.

Get out of the city bustle and enjoy a relaxing (or romantic) walk through the grounds of this beaufitul setting. Keep in mind it is not a mountain, so no real climbing involved, although you can actually climb up the 11-story lighthouse for a wonderful view of the bay (air quality permitting...) and then walk all the way down to... Nice grounds with a great ocean view. Can't spend many hours here and as a European it is hard to get wowed by the European architecture.

Yantai mountain locates in the north part of Yantai City. The air in this mountain in the morning was very fresh and I felt quite comfortable. On the top of the mountain, you can see the sea, which relaxs your eyes and mind.

Spent a pleasant couple of hours wandering around the hill park, enjoying looking through the well maintained former embassies and admiring the views of the gulf and port areas. The views from the lighthouse were particularly worthwhile.
