This once perfect beach has become the top destination for chinese tour groups. To my regret it has become noisy, dirty and expensive. I recommend you stay away.

As infamous for its beautiful chrystal sands,the impression of it was quite awfull unfortunately. The noise of hords of tourists arriving and leaving by motor speedboats is quite disturbing. Only dusk and dawn could be bearable.

Have been coming to Koh Samet for 5 years and this time the beach is terrible massive erosion and speed boats everywhere. Wont be coming back.

I also been there, i didn't find any law n order situation at all. it was very quite and nice place.
