Precious gem of art in the middle of this bath tourism place, where the painter Paul Delvaux lived and died. There is permanent expo with some very important and beautiful works of him, and a temporary exhibition showing etches and drawings that are reproductible. Avsolutely...More

With some of Delvaix' most famous works, the museum offers a good view and understanding of his art. Impressive how the facade of a typical Belgian sea-side house, hides a modern and impressive museum.

Decent sized car park opposite the museum. Quiet bar in the same building. Famous for the archetypes of the same naked woman in connection with train stations. Wonder how far his work would have transcended his view on the world if he would have abondonned...More

As a painter I visit several painters museums. This museum is large with only Paul DELVAUX's oil paintings, watercolor paintings and litho's. This visit will work inspirational to my new art pieces. He is a real Master of Expressionisme. This is a MUST for every ARTLOVER

You rarely see a Delvaux in the UK (I last saw one at Tate Liverpool by sheer good fortune whilst I was the Mondrian exhibition). However, after reading the excellent 'Antwerp' by Nicholas Royle, a trip to Koksijde/Sint Idesbald has been high on my list....More

I had wanted to visit this museum for a number of years and I especially went out of my way to take the family. We were not disappointed. The museum gave a thorough account of his life - and so it should as he inaugurated...More

Paul Delvaux was one of the leading surrealist artists of his ear and a leading exponent of this art movement. Second only in fame to the better know surrealist Rene Magritte, also of Belgium. The Foundation Delvaux was set-up as a foundation in an old...More
