Worth visiting to tour and/or buy some local wine in the cave at the base of the chateau. Also offers concerts and such from time to time.

This landmark in Lourmarin can not be missed. Learning about its history gives you a good impression of the various events that took place in this area. Art also plays an important role at present; there are often exhibits in the old castle and on the terrace, which gives you a beautiful view of the village. The classical concerts, organized... We were very pleased with our visit to the Chateau. It is situated in a beautiful setting. The gardens are very well maintained. The Chateau has been expertly restored. The self tour is very nice, with the high point being the spiral stair case. The rooms contain interesting exhibits. The views of Luberon are worth the price of admission.

The chateau is lovely, but the real gem is the free wine cellar below. Local wines, excellent selection and excellent value. Prices at or even below the vineyard prices, but all available from one place. Don't overlook the cxellar aafter you visit the chateau.

Beautifully preserved and a nice break from a bike ride. We were treated to a pianist playing in one of the grand rooms which was quite romantic!

The chateau is on the outskirts of the village of Lourmarin. On one side is a meadow and on the other, olive groves. I approached by the side of the meadow - a mistake. The bushes were full of plastic bottles, cups and rubbish which put me off somewhat. The chateau is an untidy building which is as it should... More

It is compulsory to stop by at Lourmarin. It is one of the most beautiful villages in France with a unique 360° view. The Luberon is a very exclusive region in France and Lourmarin is a very typical “provençal” peaceful place. Its two bell towers, its temple and its castle make Lourmarin very singular.

Dropped by the Chateau after lunch, it was well maintained & would make a lovely backdrop for photos. However the best lighting would be dawn or dusk as the afternoon sun would be too harsh.

This castle is lovely with a fine spiral staircase and loggia. It took me almost 25 years to set foot in this castle and I am so glad I finally did! I first visited as a student in 1992 and the groundskeeper decided not to let us in, even though we had a reservation and a group of about 15... More

This Chateau provides a lovely backdrop to the village. It hosts concerts in the summer which is lovely. However to pay to go in and walk around the Chateau is not worth the money or effort. There is no audio guide and very little information. The interior is also rather limited and tatty. Very disappointing.
