You will probably pass this beautiful chapel on your way through the main entrance to the city center of Rosenheim. They have recently renovated the interior and exterior, restoring magnificent mosaics and artwork, iconography and the structure itself. Even when I lived there, I would regularly go there to see the seasonal décor and enjoy the beauty of this very... More

We participated in Sunday Mass at the church. It is conveniently located near the town center. The church is large and pretty. However, the church has very high ceilings and almost no carpet/drapes so the acoustics are not good. There is a strong echo effect, and it is difficult to understand words being said (especially since my knowledge of the... More

During our last visit to Bavaria, we went to hear Sunday Mass at St Nikolaus church in Rosenheim. The church looks very nice from the outside, but nothing special inside. I find it a little difficult to understand German, but luckily for us there was an Italian group visiting the town and the mass was partly said in Italian.

Lovely church from the outside, but I don't like the recent renovation inside. It's qutie modern looking, and done in a minimalist style, which just isn't to my taste. I didn't go up to the top of the bell tower, though I'm sure it would be a lovely view of the area.

Walking along I noticed the church steeple and as I wondered down a laneway, I found myself at the rear entrance of the church. There were people entering and leaving the church as the sound of music was coming from the church. Upon entering the church with all reverence and humility, hoping that the roof did not cave in, given... More
