Go in the evening, it's gorgeous. We almost had the larger pool to ourselves. The water is very warm and we felt like we'd had a massage afterwards, totally relaxed. To find them put 'Bagno Grande i Vasconi'into Google maps as they're not really signed. There is parking 3 minutes walk away from the 2 larger pools.…

We were staying in a Villa with a pool. We chose a wet cool day to venture down the hill to the baths. Good to see but don't worry if you don't get here. We were very lucky and had it to ourselves. Walk past the first small one to the second larger one. The temp of the water is amazing.…

The architecture of ancient baths is always fascinating to me. These are easily accessible to visit as one wanders through town as they are located in the Piazza della Repubblica. Don't miss it.

Just downhill from the center of town is a parking lot, from which you can easily walk to the baths. You'll come across the first pool quickly, but continue down the dirt road (picnic tables will be to your right) and follow as it curves to the left. Here you will come upon a cluster of about 3 pools, with clear, warm water. Very rustic and charming. The stroll from the parking lot to the baths will only take 15-20 minutes and is very pretty. Bring lunch and towels and have a blissful afternoon!…

i have previously reviewed the Great Bath and the good news is that there is now a car park half way down the road to the bath. This cuts out the steep climb on the way back and is a most welcome improvement. Take care, trafic beyond the parking is limited to locals and this is enforced. the bath itself hasn't changed in 2000 years and is a blissful temperature. the gravel bottom is a little rough on the feet, but this is not a problem. There is a nice picnic area nearby, we find it nice to stop there for lunch after our morning soak in the bath.…
