Very spectacular area of the Norwegian fjords. Many waterfalls, including one right through the middle of the town. We were on the first cruise ship of the season, week of May 20. Temperatures were comfortable, some morning mist. Not all mountain roads were open yet. Picturesque town that is easily walkable, but they rent 2 person electric cars and bikes... More

Geiranger is a small hamlet with about 1100 population in the summer. It is a very beautiful location on the fjord surrounded by waterfalls, glaciers, and steep cliffs. There are many tourist facilities. It would be a beautiful place to relax for a while or, if you are active, the fjord offers kayaking and rib boat adventures. There are lots... More

Awesome and a must go. Indeed a unesco site, and jaw dropping view. We hiked in order to capture a good view of the geiranger fjord. That's the best way to admire this beauty!

I coastline of Norway is absolutely beautiful. We cruised on the Midnasol, a ship of the Hurtigruten line. These are wonderful sight seeing cruises through the fiords and fishing villages of Norway.

Brilliant.... just brilliant if you appreciate views and nature / geology. Really makes you think about things. I suppose I would say it reminds me of the age of the earth really. We did kayaking on the fjord. Another unmissable experience.

Spent a day in Geiranger - absolutely beautiful. Rent a Twizy and drive to the 7 Sisters or up the Mountain. Very pleasant way to spend the day.

We came back to Geiranger for the second time, and will defently come again. The boat trip from Hellesylt to Geiranger is a bit expencive but worth the money. You really get to sees the mouintans sorunding the fjord.

This was one of our ports of call on a cruise. Unfortunately you cannot predict the weather on the one day you have in port. Even with the rain and fog you appreciate the beauty of this area. The town is quite small and only has around 180 people year round but swells to over 10,000 on a busy summer... More

There are no words to describe this place and photos don't do it justice. One of the prettiest places on earth! Like doing Yosemite in a boat
