One of the most iconic Norwegian waterfalls. Best seen from a fjord cruise. Most water in may-june. You can also see if from the hike to Skageflå

Unfortunately, you can best see it from the water

I recommend one of the small boat tours to see it from all angles AND get up close. The small boat tours are cheaper and quicker if you want to do some hiking afterwards.

Okayish but better seen in May after snow melt
Aug 2019 • Couples
On a cruise to Norway and decided to book a tour to Geiranger Fjord and Hellesylt. You do sail on the Geirangerfjord and sail passed The Seven Sisters and The Suitor waterfalls. They are okay but the best time to view these is in May because of the snow melting. They are supposed to be more impressive.
I think that there are better ones in Iceland.

Simply Seven Waterfalls

The seven sisters waterfall are very popular and always promoted and there are nice but I think there are far more impressive parts of Norway.

First time we visited I was gutted I missed then, this time I got up early to ensure I seen them and there were nice but not in my opinion an essential viewing.

Legend of the Seven Sisters
Jul 2019
Seeing The Seven Sisters directly across the fjord from The Suitor is truly a beautiful sight. When snow is melting from the high mountain peaks, the waterfalls are bigger and more majestic. Listen to the legend of the two waterfalls to make this sight even more magical.

Seven sisters and a Suitor
Jul 2019 • Solo
Seen from a distance the waterfalls consist seven small and big waterfalls seven women, hence it has been called “The Seven Sisters”. On the opposite side of the fjord you can see ”The Suitor”, a waterfall shaped like a bottle. Legends tell us how “The Suitor” proposed to ”The Seven Sisters” several times. It's just right in front of it. When you will enter Geiranger Seven sisters waterfall will be on your left and The Suitor will be on your right. As you will approach geiranger you can see both of them together.

Mediocre waterfall with a legend
Sep 2019
We saw the waterfall from our cruise ship whilst sailing in the fjord. We stopped to look at it for a while and were told its legend. Apparently seven sisters dance down the side of the fjord whilst on the opposite side an admirer flirts with them. The waterfall is alright but I have seen more impressive.

There is a legend with this one...
Jul 2019
If you take the ferry to Geiranger, you will pass by and be told the story/legend of the Seven Sisters, in particular the two unmarried ones and their potential suitor. I won't give any more away but I hope you get a chance to experience the beauty of Norway for yourself!
