Wonderful piece of Norwegian nature captured from the road at the viewpoint!

Ørnefjellsveien is a good tourist attraction well worth driving miles to see. The scenery is fantastic with the Geiranger fjord and the seven sisters. Look for the Glass wall that gives you details of what you see when looking through it as it matches the scenery. Cleverly made.

You can already see the eagle turns (ornesvingen) from the Geiranger cruise. It has a lot of turns and has nice view on its view point. It hasn’t much parking lot, so please be quick when you finished taking photos so others also can park their car and enjoy the view.

Great experience and view

11 turns from Geiranger and to the view point 620 m over sea level.
Great view
It is almost scary to meet a car who is driving the oposite way.

Beautiful viewpoint, but crowded
Jun 2019
If you’re headed down Route 63 into town, this is a great stop for a breathtaking view. However, since it is such a popular stop, it can be very crowded in the middle of the day with large tour buses, making it difficult to get to the viewing platform for a photo. But the view is truly spectacular and offers probably the best/highest view in the area!

Perfect view of Geirangerfjord.

This a very special view point and normally in the summer very much traffic, but going in early October can one see the real beauty of this area. Perfect in every way.

Great view. Not nearly enough parking.

I came up to this viewpoint from Åndalsnes and actually ended up driving by it 3 times to find a parking spot. The parking area is pretty small and the viewpoint was really crowded but the views you get from here are spectacular. I went to several viewpoints up out of the fjord and this might have been my favorite.

Nice fjord view
Jul 2019 • Family
Arriving late afternoon - and the parking place was full! A disappointment of course. However, as it turned out, driving up there the next morning after breakfast, we were alone at first with the view, the morning sun and the arriving cruise ships. Very nice! We spent some time just sitting at the nicely built up concrete steps looking out at the view and the ships.

Nice view

A very nice view of the Geiranger Fjord. Time your visit to avoid the cruise ship busses as the place is completely crowded and the cruise ship crowds walk around like blind sheep!

What a view! Admittedly we had a perfect day- clear blue skies and brilliant sun. You will have buses and tourists to contend with, but I found the overlook adequately accommodated the crowds such that I have photos clear of other people. If the buses are there, parking is a bear. But, the view is worth every pain.

stunning sunset views

Short drive from Geiranger and the winding road is not the narrowest (fits two car widths). Go around sunset in summer (10pm ish) and you will have the place to yourself!
