Beach is stunning probably one of the best in Algarve. You can spend hours just walking around, exploring the little rock pools and the caves. Some of the little restaurants around here are also not too bad, especially if all you want is light lunch.

We've been visiting this beach for the past 20 years and it is still the best beach on the Algarve. Busier than it used to be but full of character. The gem of the Algarve. Just stunning. Unless you access it via the Canico restaurant,...More

We found this beach on our last day and what a discovery, it's beautiful. A bit of a walk down the steps (and back up again!) But well worth it.

This beach was a nice short walk from our stay in Alvor. Even on a cloudy day, it was breathtaking. Little caves and arches along cliff side. Canico cafe built intothe cliff is a nice place to stop for a drink or have dinner there...More

Beautiful charming small beach by the sea, calm with beautiful cliffs and the sound of the waves, unlike some other beach in the area there are not so many ugly concrete hotells distrupting the natural beauty. Sad to see so much plastics in the sand,...More

Walking along the beach from Alvor, we thought we had come to the end. We decided to explore the cliffs and caves and after we clambered over a few rocks we discovered the most amazing sandy cove with rugged cliffs and caves. Each time we...More

This is tough to get to with lots of private entrances, but really worth the view. The beaches look great from above but didn't venture down in January.

This beach is high on the tourist list of things to see in the Algarve, but it turned out to be our favorite beach of the entire region! We discovered it because our hotel had direct access to it and boy was it beautiful! It...More

Gorgeous beach! My favorite! It is sandy and intimate beach. Beware to come early before the rising water.
