We rented a beautiful home on the beach, wonderful vacation spot! Beautiful beach, very secluded. Be prepared for the very rough road if you rent here or visit the beach

Lots of driftwood, hence its name, translates to “dry stick”. Off the beaten path but quiet and private. Lots of sand dollars.

If you are looking for a spot off the beaten path, you’ve found it. A wide, beautiful beach with dark sand that reflects the sky and soft sand, it is lovely for walking. We went twice looking for sand dollars with no luck but found...More

Horrible place. Got robbed. Crack addicts steal from nearby village. This part of Costa Rica is not very safe I don't recommend it

Playa Palo Seco is out of the way coming from Parrita to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. This is a remote place in terms of the number of tourists. The beach is always almost empty and is best for a quiet alone time. Sunsets are amazing.

beautiful, mostly private, beach with a fun break for boogie boarding. Also, a great place to watch the most beautiful, over water, sunsets. It is a bumpy road to get to, but once there, a lovely beach.

This one requires a rental car to get to, as it's a roughly 45 minute drive from Quepos and includes about 15-20 minutes down an isolated gravel road. We were 2 of only 4-5 people on the entire stretch of beach. There are little parking...More

Wonderful private beach. Beach is clean with great views. Sand is very hot so bring shoes. Quiet for sure.

Stayed for three nights in a hotel, we had the beach with almost no one else there most of the time (except for the weekend when some locals hang around too). Did feel safe enough by CR beach standards but do mind the rip tides

This beach is spectacular! Long stretches of empty beach lined with palm trees. No need to stop at the picnic spot, just wander along beach as far as you like. The waves are quite big and there is a strong undertow so really only suitable...More

Driving down there is only really 3 choices. 2 Hotels, I stayed at the Clandestino, it was truly fantastic. The other hotel ( I forget it name) or further down there I drove past some holiday let homes.
