We spotted the Fortress the day before while rafting and decided on a whim to try it. It was a tough climb but the view from the top was absolutely worth it! The guys running the place were very friendly and we spent some time...More

A good climb from next to Omis fire station took you to this fortress with great views. 15 kunas (about £2) to get in once at the top. The climb was tricky at parts (trainers recommend) but easy.

What a great way to start the day. We got up at 630 and ran to the start of the trail which is just along from the river Bridge through the tunnel. Do this way first as very steep and would not have liked to...More

We walked up from our rented house which is already half way up from Omis. In the early evening the sun was still hot and the climb was steep but we made it to see a beautiful sunset over the mountains. The view was fantastic....More

Historical fortress is something that you should visit if you like history. We were here few hours but it was too hot outside so I couldn't enjoy too much.

Made it up the difficult route with our 7 year old. Finding the start was tricky as under a tunnel that doesn’t look intended for pedestrians (by the side of the river) and then entrance hidden at the back of a car park! Came back...More

We did the steep route up- it’s pretty steep so take water and wear decent shoes. Then did the easier way down which was nice. Enjoyable hike and great views from the top- even if you don’t pay to go in fortress.

If you decide to take the ”short” route, be advized that it’s steep and has lots of loose rock and debry. Forget flipflops and bring water. There was Coca-Cola on sale at the top for 15kn/can, but I dont know if it’s always avalable. Spectacular...More

There are two ways to get to the castle. One is very steep but also rather short (from the parking near Cetina River; it can be difficult for amateur) and the second - longer but easier - which begins in Omiš town. If you travel...More

Recommend early morning. It is an open ruin and so can go any time. There is an entrance fee of 15 in per person but I think the person sleeps there so you get caught at all times. Would be great for a sunset but the walk... More

Hi! You can park your car at the big car park in the city centre in Omis, next to the main road (5 kuna/hour). Or you can park directly where one of the hiking trails starts. You need to cross the Cetina bridge, take the... More
