The atmosphere in this church is tangible. Please visit and pay your respects. I call in every year without fail its like a pilgrimage for me. The US camp around the church also adds to the occasion.

I liked this church. It's very old, from around he 11th century so be sure to take a few minutes to see it when touring the D-day beaches.

Well worth the time to walk through this little cathedral. Obviously a lot of history at this location. From paratroopers unintentionally landing on the roof during D-Day to the bullets that still remain in the exteriors walls of the remarkable structure.

For those of you who want to see more of d-day things; when stepping in, on the right there is a little biechthok, here you can find some shots in it. And the Maria statue has a bullethole in it.
