Charming house, top of the hill from the church. There's a key at a house close to the church and you can go in and visit the inside of this 9th century pile of stones. I didn't - but it doesn't cost anything if you...More

Such a beautiful charming little house, hidden away right in the heart of Kells, a short walk from the Monastic Site. St. Colmcilles house is tiny really and although there is not a lot to see, what there is is well worth it! The key...More

This unique building in Kells must be seen if visiting this historic heritage town. It's appearance from outside and the feeling you get when inside will remain with you for a long time.

The guide was very informative with much of the general knowledge and the interesting sidenotes. I enjoyed being able to go inside and see the interior. It's not something I would make a special effort to see, but if you are in the area or...More

The house can be viewed from the street but you can only gain access from the key keeper who lives a few houses down the hill, opposite the main entrance to the church yard so leave some extra time if you want to see inside....More
