Quaint Town

wonderful town to visit and so close to Belpoggio to run in for pizza, bread, cheese, shopping. Purchased a great coat in one of the little shops.

It's very old mill which still in use. All the tools are hanging on the wall. This area of the town is picturesque everywhere I turn.

The mill was actually closed but they opened it for us and gave us a demo of the grinding process plus allowed us to make a purchase after hours. The people in this village are so helpful to travelers.

While we're driving through the village, unexpectedly, on a curve of the river below, crossing a narrow stone bridge this place appears and we all left the car in order to look at this beauty - both nature and human result.

Several friends of mine stayed in a nearby home right outside Loro Ciuffenna. One day while walking around the town we discovered this beautiful mill. The pictures simply do not do it justice. There is nearby a pizza place. Where you could easily grab a pie and enjoy the beauty. However, the pizza place is closed on Tuesday's and of... More

The guidebook suggested spending ten minutes in Loro to walk down to the old mill. It didn't say what a beautiful place Loro is, perched on its Tolkein-esque gorge. We spent rather longer. If I say that it's a scruffy little old Italian town, that may sound like a mortal insult, but I don't mean it unkindly. The old houses... More
