Fantastic hospitality from a warm, friendly, knowledgeable host whose passion for wine came across. Very accommodating. Muchas gracias for staying open later to show us around after we had dropped off our bikes, and also for calling us a taxi home after. If you prefer a more homely, intimate, traditional bogeda to the larger, more industrial, commercialised operations then definitely... More

Right in middle of CHACRAS town. Ramiro (i think from his name) is the owners son and has a degree in wine making and speaks perfect english. His degustation tour is excellent. And its a great place to buy a bottle and sit in the garden and blow the day away. VISIT HERE 100%!

Walked to this vineyard which is close to town. Is family run and the mother speaks Spanish and the son speaks perfect English. He showed us around the bodega which is an incredible building and explained the wine making process. All wines here are organic and the tasting is great, especially ending with a port! We were taken into the... More

We visited 7 wineries in our trip and this was the absolute best. The owner gave the tour (in English) and showed us the whole place. She even opened up barrels and drew out some of the wine for us to try. There is a 2013 Malbec there (in the barrel) that was the best wine in Mendoza. Moreover she... More

We used our RED bus pass for public transport outside Mendoza and ended up in the outlying community of Chacras. There, a local shopkeeper sent us down a dusty drive to this tiny family Bodega for lunch. Very nice experience as we ate in a rustic outdoor setting under the vineyards. A touristy kind of place which attracted cyclists from... More

Bodega Pulmary offered a really great tour of their winery. The guy giving the tour had studied wine making in California and was practically a native english speaker who could really get into the nitty gritty when talking about the wines. We went down into the cellars and were able to sample the wines directly from the oak barrel (which... More

This charming bodega specialises in organic wines. We spent a pleasant lunchtime under the shade of the vines, I had a pretty decent beef sandwich, before then getting a tour of the wine making area. Ramiro was our host and we found him to be very knowledgeable about the process and more than happy to answer any questions from our... More

We lucked upon this spot after being rained out of our biking tour of wineries, and were pleased to find an incredibly accommodating and friendly staff with great spirit. They helpfully inquired about our food preferences before the tour so to have our dishes ready when we finished the tour, and offered some unexpectedly fine cuisine. It's quite neat to... More

We really wanted to enjoy Bodega Pulmary because we were intrigued to learn more about organic wine. It also looks like a lovely place. However, as certain other reviewers have written below, it clearly all depends on which tour guide you get. Unfortunately we had the son who seemed to have a slight attitude problem and was totally disinterested from... More
