Welcome to the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Tours! During our tours you will experience the results of our ground-breaking conservation project, as we guide you through our spectacular purpose-built cave, filled with thousands of glowing Glow Worms! We offer the only opportunity in Queensland to see Glow Worms during the day, and over the course of 30 minutes, you’ll meet a Glow Worm up close and learn all about their life cycle and behaviour. Our cave features a colony of native Mt. Tamborine Glow Worms, and is part of a long-term breeding program, so your admission helps support and ensure the survival of the species in South East Queensland for future generations!

The cave itself is very small but I've never seen so many glow worms in the one spot. The tour guides are highly qualified entomologists and biologists so any question you may have will be answered. A short 5 minute video at the start of...More

We had to wait an hour and a half to access the cave, but it was understandable. School holidays. We killed time in the Frog Hollow and enjoying a coffee under the shade of maple trees. The cave is man-made, but it didn't disappoint. The...More

You can tell that the area and the animals are well cared for and it was great to learn about what these creatures do. It was quite busy as we visited during the school holidays but still glad we made the visit.

Visited this spot with 8 adults and 2 children, for this size group it is advisable to book at least the day before by phone as if they are very busy they do not always get to the emails. The whole group enjoyed the tour...More

You can probably get a pram to the cave entrance and then inside to watch the video. However, the actual glow worm viewing platform is very narrow (single file) and in pitch darkness. The tour itself is fairly short. So my... More
