well worth a visit, the guided tour a must, views from the roof of the castle amazing. Easy to walk around and no rush to vacate the castle. Beware of coach tours, especially those with school children, as can be noisy and crowded in parts...More

We sailed from Greece to Italy and stayed here 2 nights in the Marina, Castillio Aragonese magestically over looks the bay, it's pretty impressive. . Lovely to walk round and lovely to walk through the old town inside it's walls.

This massive castle commands a point of land overlooking the Otranto harbor. We wandered around the outside to get some perspective on its massive size without touring the interior.

This is a beautiful, imposing and well maintained Aragonese castle which occupies a large part of old Otranto. The inside has some interesting findings, such as the library but has also empty rooms and some dedicated to non relevant shows.

Although the outside is impressive, the inside is just a bunch of rooms that are occasionally used for photographic exhibits. The gift shop is nothing to bother with either.

A very well preserved fortress which is the basis of the visit to this site. In the middle of restoration work, this site will be a very welcome addition to this very nice town once the work is completed. Great views of the sea and...More

Very interesting exhibition of the photography of Steve McCurry. Paid €10 each to get in. Somewhat small castle with very little information regarding the history of the fortress. Lovely views from (almost) the top, sadly you aren't allowed up to the very top.
