Nice swim

We found a nice cove with access to the water from rocks. It was a nice place to snorkel and take in the sun away from the crowds.

I strongly recommend to visit riserva di Vendicari for a nice swim and a walk around the natural reserve. The old tuna manufacturing plant that lies on the north side of the beach looks like a Greek temple sinking in the sea. Enjoy in all seasons!

We followed Googlemaps to Cala Mosche. This took us into the nature reserve and up a rough road, following signs for Agro-Turistico. Eventually we ended up at a rough car park where we paid 3 Euros to park. From here it was a 20 minute walk to a beautiful cove where we swam and walked on the beach. It feels... More

We visited Vendicari several times during our stay, mainly to get to the natural beaches. We enjoyed Walking there and watching plants and small animals.

Actually i had been here in 2012, but there was no further than 2015. There was a school trip to Noto, Italy and for 13 days we enjoyed being around italians. We came here as an outing with some of Italian school friends and though got bored we still pretended to be enjoying! Many of the spots here are good... More

We drove to the Torre Sveva entrance. From there it's only a 10 min walk to the Tonnara and the Torre Sveva. The Tonnara, a building where they trapped -and subsequently killed- the tuna fish, is nicly restored and the various panels explain how it was done. We then walked to the Cala Mosche beach, a nice walk, about an... More

We came to this place in mid-October. Advantage you don’t have too many tourist around. But there is also not much to observe. You can do some nice walk, but many trails are closed and we were not lucky to observe birds or animals. So we did a picnic on the beach . Fortunately weather was good. We were disappointed.

This former salt producing area has been converted into a nature reserve with some nice beaches. Parking is 2 Euro for the day. There are no changing facilities as far as we have seen. On site are also the remains of a tuna factory, which have been restored to some extent. I also noted an ecomuseum on site, but it... More
