The lighthouse itself could definitely do with a clean and the area around it clearing but the walk to it along the paved promenade is a good way to burn off some holiday calories! We sat and watched the waves for a while and also enjoyed the views across to Fuerteventura.

Disappointed when we drove out - a derelict sruffy building covered in graffiti. No cafe/ice creams huts evidence of teenage parties with empty bottles etc! Nice to watch the waves but could be so much better - if in the uk there would at least be an ice cream van

The lighthouse can be seen from Playa Blanca town - the walk is very pleasant with the magnificent structure as the goal. It's a shame that the building is a little run down and graffiti adorned the surrounding buildings but the whole neighbourhood came to a halt as a result of the 2008 crash. With a bit of money this... More

Great views of Fuertaventura across the sea and along the coast towards Playa Familiar and eventually to Playa Blanca. The area near the lighthouse is a bit barren but flat and quite easy walking before reaching the path and promenade to Playa Familiar.

Looks striking from a distance and a pleasant stroll along the cliffs, but unfortunately the building is spoilt with grafiti and rubbish

Nothing much to see and the area was very scruffy with graffiti and unfinished buildings. No access to the lighthouse.

The old lighthouse still stands tall on the landscape. You can't get inside but can admire from nearby. Despite the negative reviews about the graffiti (yes, like many derilict buildings it does have graffiti on it), we enjoyed going there and sitting on the rocks enjoying the sunset and sea.

The lighthouse is in a wonderful position, as it would be ! The surrounding area is obviously a victim of the "Property Slump" with one or two wonderful villas standing in the middle of unkempt building plots and half finished developments. It is worth a visit and a relatively easy walk from the Port of Playa Blanca.

The walk from the hotels along the promenade is good and worth doing unless the trade winds are blowing strongly. It looked like the last 500 m of rough path had been fixed up to a high standard recently. We nowhere encountered difficulty in the walk. It is suitable for wheelchairs. No trip hazards. A possibility here and there to... More
