This museum tells the story of what it was like in 1661 when it was built. Impressive video presentations telling the story of the "horrible days" when the English set fire to the merchant ships awaiting good weather, and then setting the village aflame!

interesting historical insight of Vlieland; situated in what was a private house, it showed what life was like and included reminiscences by islanders.

Nice local museum in traditional house. The Delft blue tiles and the floor tiles are great. The museum collection is quite diverse and good. Recommend to visit.
