This museum is unique because it combines beautiful nature and art. Because it is in "middle of nowhere" I recommend trip by car. You can get to the museum by bike (rental for free at the gate) or by car. If you choose to bike, you can bike in the whole national park. Museum it self offers hours of inside... More

The museum is right in the middle of really quite a large park, which is a beautiful place with trees and open spaces, great if you want a bit of time in nature, though being Dutch it's all very controlled with excellent bike paths and a big cafe built in the middle of the park. The museum has some really... More

Don't get me wrong, the museum is nice, the park is nice, riding the bikes is fun. BUT, if you are traveling by train/public transit, it takes awhile to get here and you need to spend the night in one of the neighboring towns (we stayed in Arnhem). Given that you really need to dedicate some time to get and... More

The Kröller Müller Museum is one of the great art collections of the world. Plan to spend at least 4-6 hours, especially if you want to see much of the extensive sculpture museum which is primarily along pathways through the beautifully landscaped grounds. Most of the art is Impressionist/post-Impressionist or more modern, and the collection continues to grow with new... More

The collection of Vincent's paintings and those of his friends is incredible. The building and its layout are easy to navigate and the location is perfect.

This museum is a joy! The pictures in the collection are excellent and the breadth of artwork is extensive and amazing. The sculpture garden is great and lends to very picturesque walking or biking (free bikes). We loved going here. This museum is not well known but is definitely one of the tops in the world. GO!

I enjoyed this extensive private collection which includes a large Van Gogh collection, some Picasso, Renoir, Montrian and many others. The outdoor sculpture garden is really large and offers something for everyone. A wonderful part of visiting the De Hoge Veluwe National Park.

The hour or so drive from Amsterdam is well worth it (and can become scenic off the main highway!), as the Van Gogh experience rivals - if not surpasses - that at the Van Gogh Museum. There are many stellar works to be seen (including The Good Samaritan and Starry Night), and it is a much more serene experience than... More

You have to enter the park Hoge Veluwe before going to the museum. We first took a bike to bike through the park. Then went to the museum. The van Gogh section is huge and beautiful. After this we went through the garden with statues. Much variety. A nice day in nature and art.

The Kröller-Müllers were a Dutch-German family of very rich industrialsts and traders in the 19th and early 20th century. The museum contains the private collection of the family who bequated it to the Dutch Nation, along with their 500ha estate on wich the museum is built. It is a world class museum of modern and contemporary art, starting with the... More
