We went the Maria Island and stopped by Sandy Beach. It was nicer than the sand on our beach because there was not much seaweed. There are shade from trees too!

Best beach on the island. Several small places to eat, good food. Kite surfing and wind surfing rentals Great swimming / medium sized waves. Sand as far as you can see in every direction The best part of this beach, no one hassling you ever. You park under the trees, walk to the beach, and enjoy. I would recommend staying... More

That's all that needs to be said about this gorgeous beach. The water is warm and it is patrolled by the local policia.

I wish the ramp was still as gorgeous as Sandy Beach unfortunately it's been ruined and pimped out all in the glorious name of tourism... Sigh. Come to Sandy Beach for a taste of Saint Lucia's past. I don't recommend swimming here on a rough day but it's absolutely gorgeous. Experience the beach it was meant to be experienced... Locals... More

Rarely do I get a chance to go to the beach while I travel. However, I had the opportunity to pull up and have a relaxing lunch at the beach. The highlight was watching a young boy and his horse playing in the ocean. Classic.

Sandy beach is a great place to stop and take pictures of the Atlantic and up to the lighthouse. Unfortunately the beach it self is very full if weeds and the Atlantic water is very turbulent. It didn't seem safe to swim at all. It would be a great spot to kite board.

This beach is beautiful. This is our second year in St. Lucia and we stay at the beach. If you are a windsport enthusiast, it is a must visit. My favorite spot in St. Lucia.

At weekends and holidays the area in front of the beach which has shade with trees becomes filled with cars and locals bringing their music and families to enjoy the beach. Still the beach is relatively empty. The swimming is good, the sand is great.

We spent a few hours here before our flight - well worth going - the beach is long and the onshore winds are refreshing! It seems to be the sot for kiteboarding and have rental equipment if you feel so inclined! There are a few little lunch spots here as well - really good food! A nice quiet relaxing place... More
