The tour guide, drivers, and other staff were very friendly and courteous. Great service, that which is rarely seen in Colombia. Everything was fantastic, exceeded expectations. Not to mention the great scenery and the hike itself.

This is a nice daytrip if you want to see vulcanic landscapes. Get a good nights sleep because they will pick you up very early in the morning and if you smoke don´t worry it´s not a hike it´s a trip in a car so ignore all the reviews saying you should buy altitude sickness pill to survive just aclimatise... A very nice trek. We were so lucky that the volcano was active the day we visited. The altitude at the destination point is around 5000m, so unless you're used to heights, you will feel an effect. In addition you will lose your breath quite easily, so walk in your own tempo and don't be stressed by a guide in... More

Had an excellent day starting 06:30 with hotel pickup and finishing at 18:30 with hotel drop off. Full day including a great breakfast a solid lunch a break at the hot baths in Otono and of course the ride to the Calle of las rumbas at 4450m altitude. Great guide James and very attentive driver. Good day and well done... More

We just parked up by the entrance to the reserve and took a short walk to the met station. Picked up a 3 lifers on that walk including the Buffy Helmetcrest

The excursion to see Nevado del Ruiz is a must. Must wear base layers and know that you will be in high altitude of over 4,450 m. As you ascend, you will come by waterfalls and beautiful landscapes. Drink the coca tea on your way up!

Cold and eerie to visit this volcano and surrounding lands. You must meet a guide at the entrance and take the guide with you to see the park. It is COLD there so bring all your warm clothes.

Experience the wonder of an active volcano. Nevado del Ruiz actually had a small eruption while I was at the base, how cool is that! Take the local bus to the highest allows point and walk on the snow capped peak.

We didn't actually climb Nevada del Ruiz, but hiked for 2 days in the parquet, it was one of the greatest hiking experiences I've had, and I've done quite a few. We organised it through Kumanday, cause without a guide it's impossible because nothing is signposted when you're not doing the routine tourist one day treks.
