This could easily have been one of the nicest places to visit in Ubon. There are so many temples of the same style. Why are they letting this one rot away from the pigeons that now seem to live within it. Such a shame

The small viharn has beautiful and very old murals but the building needs cleaning inside and out. The unique wooden library on stilts in a lily pond to keep out termites, contains old, traditional manuscripts on palm leaves. This really is worth World Heritage status....More

The old teak temple is barely usable now, but its former grandeur is still evident. It is sad to see the deterioration of the beautiful painted wall murals. The new temple beside it in this complex is beautiful, inside and out. This is worth taking...More

This is a must see when you are in Ubon. To me, after traveling to Thailand and SEA, a lot of the temples are similar, thus it can be boring to go and see them all. Here at this temple, like the picture shows, this...More

The wooden temple is very picturesque and rare - since it is wooden. The interior is home to pigeons, and I would not recommend entering since breathing in the avian atmosphere may not improve your health! The other building is 200 years old, we were...More

It's built on rough-hewn wooden pillars that are sunk into the bottom of a lotus pond, so that it's surrounded by water to protect the manuscripts it contains from termites and other insects. The architecture of the wooden structure with its pitched, vaulted roofs is...More

I was there twice with two different schools and really loved all the nice buildings and the cultural importance of this temple. You don't have to be Buddhist to get the feeling that it's a special place. It's really worth to visit.

We went to this temple by chance after seeing most of the temples. We were surprised how authentic and beautiful it was. The mural was incredibly beautiful (unfortunately not well preserved). There is also another hall in the river and it accommodate the Buddhist scriptures...More

It's in the middle of a large temple complex. This is the old wooden structure that served as a repository of documents on parchment paper, situated atop stilts rising out of water (they say it deters or prevents termites). It's walking distance from a very...More

The wooden architecture is interesting. Another thing is mural paint inside the main building which is old and has history.
