Please note that we are NOT a petting zoo. These animals are all slated to be returned back into the wild. No interaction is allowed. Our facilities include a non-primate / quarantine habitat, two 70ft.X75ft habitats, three stories tall encompassing trees, with movable walls to adapt to any enclosure requirement and a new 2 1/2 story tall, Step Out Habitat with movable walls.. . We offer Up Close and Personal Educational visits by ADVANCE RESERVATION only.We cater to adults who wish to know more about the plight of Costa Rica's arboreal wildlife with the effect of man's encroachment into their habitat. Steve and Vickie's facility is first class. We learned a lot about their special guests as well as the local flora and fauna. They are doing a wonderful thing for the area.

Vickie and Steve have created an amazing sanctuary for injured and abandoned animals in Nosara. Most of the patients are Howler Monkeys who obviously love this place, because once they are recovered and placed back in the jungle, they still come back to visit. Some visit daily! We learned so much about their mission to help all the monkeys in... More

The sanctuary is beautiful, and Steve and Vicky clearly know what they are doing. It was a wonderful experience and definitely a must if you are visiting Costa Rica. It's easily worth the $65 donation because it's clear the money is going to a beautiful cause!

What a wonderful couple hours spend for the best cause. We booked this reservation on a whim and so happy we did. The people at Sibu are devoting their everyday to their sanctuary and to their animals health. We got an up close tour to the beautiful Howler monkeys and recommend going. What a great place!

Don't skip this, make it a priority. The people here are special, they make time to help all these little creatures and nurse them back to health. We attended a fund raiser for them on our trip. Bought the tickets ahead of time and had a great dinner at a pretty wonderful restaurant with an outdoor setting. They auctioned off... More

Steve, Vicki and Reagan are collectively the Jane Goodall's of the howler monkeys of Costa Rica. The sanctuary is in a breathtakingly beautiful section of Nosara with a stunning view of the ocean. Steve's knowledge of the flora and fauna is exceptional, and his presentation of info is funny and loaded with great info. The sanctuary itself is off the... More
