I used to be a volunteer at the Museum so I got to see everything which was in the Museum. Lots of things with local History, and my favourite things to see used to be the wonderful dresses. The Museum itself is very picturesque from the outside having a beautiful thatched roof. Inside there is an abundance of things to... More

Interesting little museum with artefacts from the past. The must do part of this museum is the harrowing tale of the massacre that took place at Glencoe. I still think about that now.

The museum is just in the middle of the main street. it is two cottages united with a number of outbuildings and has some lovely artefacts - dresses, equipment etc and some information about the Clearances and the massacre. a very friendly welcome and an admission of £3 for adults makes this a worthwhile venture.

We just accidentally happened upon this museum and were very happy we did. If you are interested in history its a great little place. Its in a genuine authentic thatched roof cottage in the village. Full of interesting bits of information and exhibits. Very reasonably priced. We arrived just as they were opening one morning and Heather M. was on... More

Fantastic little museum, reasonably priced. It's full of exhibitions and items relating to the Highland way of life generally and mire specifically to Glencoe. Well worth a visit for all the history.

While we were exploring Glencoe Village we stopped into the Folk museum to get out of the rain. The museum is located in a thatched cottage on the main street in Glencoe Village. There are several rooms and a few outbuildings filled with interesting objects and information boards. There are exhibits on the local area including the Balluchurish Quarry and... More

A small museum in a beautiful thatched cottage. Steeped in local history and full of interesting facts and items. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our visit.

The museum consists of an old croft with a few outbuildings. I don't know if the person running the place when we visited is always there, but she was a fountain of knowledge about local history. Worth going just for the chat. There are artifacts from the area, taking you back through history, and in an outbuilding a kind of... More

With it's thatched roof and thatched out-houses, this museum built inside 2 cottages knocked into one, must hold an example of every piece of memorabilia you could wish to find in such a small village. And the building itself was so picturesque that I had to paint it as part of my "Paintings of Scotland" project. Glencoe Museum. Painting ©... More
