Shakespeare Park is a beautiful regional park. You can take short walks or longer hikes through bush walks, paddocks, sand & gravel. You will see sheep, cattle & stunning scenery. Take a picnic & play frisbee or cricket at the park, or swim at the beach. The Pohutakawa are stunning in December too. Wonderful place to spend time with your... More

A nice quiet place for a walk. Went through to the furthermost carpark which led to the start of the waterfall gully walk. There are multiple options for the walks, most of which go through farm land. Keep an eye out for coloured poles which are signposts for the different walking tracks. I almost got lost trying to find the... More

While staying in Whangaparaoa, we went for a late afternoon walk in Shakespear Regional Park ... we almost made a mistake and nearly ended up going for a walk in the Army's live firing range. We found the correct way in, parked our car and off we went. This park is a pest free habitat that provides a sanctuary for... More

We took a short, easy walk on the heritage trail which passes through reclaimed forest. This passes by a nice waterfall and you can look for native kokupu in the pool below. Also keep a lookout for the birds, we saw a tui, some lovely kereru and of course pukeko. In the streams through the forest you can spot some... More

Great scenic walk, the Tiri Tiri Track up wooded area to the coast at cliff area, gently undulating fields to the lookout with spectacular views all directions. Then to the beach for a swim. Great day, some small walks which look pleasant, but definitely head here on a nice day and explore

This is a place of paradise so close to Auckland that anybody with any nature in them should be embarrassed not to have come here! The birds, beach and country walks are exquisite - a must for all interested in these things - fully recommend to anyone who adores nature - but please no one who doesn't come - some... More

Had a fab day exploring the park. Great views of the harbour and lots of native birds. Lots of different tracks you can take.

Enjoy a soak under the sun with a beautiful scenery. You can do water activities like swimming and kayaking. Cockles are also available for picking just beneath the muddy sand. Bbq grill are also available to use for free for everyone. Toilets and changing rooms are also available to use.
