For a non petrol-head this place is a revelation. For a history buff , a delight. The vintage verhicles are so beautifully renovated, they positively shine. Each car has models inside dressed in the required period costumes. Pointon has been indulging his passion for years. He loves his cars so much he prefers NOT to go far on Holidays "... More

So glad we were delayed in town due to the earthquake and found the collection to have a look around. Great collection and even greater people to show you around! Heaps of motoring memorabilia and old tools etc aswell as some imaculately restored vintage cars all of which are in running condition and driven at local rallies and events. Nice... More

We visited this museum during a recent visit to Masterton. It was very cool in the middle of Winter, but we had jackets and gloves! It is an amazing collection of vintage cars, models and clothing. There is also a small stall of handicrafts where I purchased a lovely cushion. The lady was very informative and the cars were well... More

mrs Pointon gave us a guided tour around the museum, giving us as much history and detail as we wanted. She has a display of mannequins that are dressed up in different eras of fashion from the 1920's to the 1940's and she changes them every season. All cars are in working order in the main shed and others are... More

This smaller more personal museum with working cars and wonderful additions of mannequin's dressed in period clothing both in display areas, and in and around the cars makes this museum enjoyable for both men and women. The building most of the cars are in was once a barracks for WW1 soldiers, then Polish orphans who came to NZ after WW2... More

Very nice to be shown around by Gaye and have the opportunity to chat with Francis. We're not really into the car scene - but enjoyed our visit. Lots of associated memorabilia - brought back childhood memories.
