Human Connections offers a completely unique cultural experience. We bring our guests into the vibrant neighborhoods within Bucerias that travelers rarely get to see. There, we visit three different homes and engage with local artisans, tradespeople and food vendors. We spend about an hour with each person, learning the story behind their craft and seeing the "real Bucerias" through their eyes. While you will enjoy an outstanding homemade meal and history about the area, your favorite thing about the tour will surely be the people you meet. They are simply inspiring.

This is a tour about progress (not a tour about poverty) that aims to foster cultural exchange and promote local businesses, all the while providing our guests with an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This was a great experience. Our guide was Maya and she was outstanding. We visited with a wood maker and a jewelry maker. It was very inspiring to hear their stories and also very interesting to learn more about their crafts. Prior to the tour I just assumed that most of the vendors on the beach and in the streets... This was a fantastic tour for my husband, myself, and our two teen daughters. Maya our guide was spot on, and we all really enjoyed actually getting to know a real Mayan family at Lopez Lopez, then listening to Don Enrique's life story later on. Highly recommended!

Our group of 10 ages 13-81 all enjoyed our tour with Human Connections! We were welcomed in to Leonarda's home and heard her heart warming and inspiring story. Then we visited Dona Zenaida and learned about hammock making. We ended with a visit to a local Loncheria and enjoyed a tasty lunch. Great way to learn about local artisans as... More

This is one of the best experiences we've had on any holiday at any time. Maya was a terrific host translating the stories of the people we met on this cultural journey. We met an artisan, a hammock maker and a restaurant owner. And we were invited with open arms into their homes. There was about a dozen people on... More

Invaluable experience you just would not get with anyone else. A real insight into the lives of the local Mexican families. For around £40 each you get taxied to the humble homes of 2 different local artisans, then onto a small local restaurant for lunch with food and drinks included. The artisans all get a fair share of your tour... More

A great opportunity to uniquely celebrate local culture. Visiting local artisans, in their homes, is both rewarding and humbling. Each artisan has a unique story to share that left me with an appreciation of their struggle to survive and prosper. Maya did a superb job of letting the group know what to expect on our tour. Her interaction with the... More

The tour was valuable to us because We was able to look into the lives of families who despite very difficult life experiences are working to maintain stable family lives and preserve their self dignity. We were able to support the organization and the families by purchasing, if we choose, items that the family has created for sale. We took... More

Delightful and humbling tour meeting local artisans and small business owners. We were able to learn a little bit about the struggles and strengths of 3 families as they work hard to support themselves and there families. Our tour guide, Maya, was wonderful and projected tremendous pride and compassion for the families and her culture. Highly recommend tour for all.

We went into the local Mexican artisans homes. They greeted us with warmth and pride. We saw first hand how they made their art. We heard from them through an interpreter how they came to Bucerias and started their trade. The people shared with us the stories of their families. We got to paint our own bowl if you wanted...
