Must visit
Jul 2020 • Family
This is a must visit site when in the area. Take off your shoes and walk across the rocks. Strong swimmers will appreciate diving onto the sea but not reccomend for younger kids.

The fishing houses give the town a special touch, they always look so beautiful and original, nice place for a stroll around sunset.

Nice rock formations and beach walks
Jul 2018 • Family
If you don’t want to walk all the way from the city center to this beach, you can take bus #31 during the summer months (from Royan main station, multiple stops along the coast). The rock formations and the beach are nice, but not soooo unique. A nice and pleasant trip from Royan if the weather is nice, especially if you combine it with a walk along the coastline in late afternoon/early evening.

Fab beach and brilliant rock pooling
Sep 2017 • Family
Fantastic rock pooling when the tides out. The rocks provide caving and shade which can be welcome. Beach is lovely and sandy but watch the underwater rocks, they're sharp. Good parking and a stroll from St Palais.

Walk along the coast
Aug 2017 • Family
We stumbled across this walk having found the beach. We parked free at the nearby car park. Walked into the town are and headed back. Very scenic and the tide was coming in. It was around 19.40. Something odd happen. There was just 5 of us. I was walking last and I heard some one running up behind me as we came back out near the beach. I told my partner to hurry up because some one was behind. It went quiet and I looked back no one was there. Very odd

Fascinating sight
Jun 2017 • Couples
Photographers dream. Managed to see them in all lights and sea conditions. There are especially beautiful in heavier seas and if you catch the sunset behind them they look quite surreal. Well worth visiting.

A cool, short winding hike along the ocean
Jun 2017 • Family
A must-do for the area! The stone walled paths winding along lead to stairs and giant rocks you can climb and play on- watch the waves and boats. I think we spent an hour here (though the walk doesn't take that long)

One of the Best Coastal Walks
May 2017 • Couples
The costal walk ways along the whole coastline from Royan up to La Palmyre are some of the best views. The path ways are very winding and up and down in places, but the views are really rewarding. My two little dogs enjoyed it too, but recommend bringing lots of water as the walk can be challenging when hot.
