We called in for information about the area and were very impressed with the displays in the small museum. Well presented and maintained, it's worth a little time to linger. The lady at the information desk was very helpful with our enquiries.

Spending some enforced time on a rainy day in Kurow led me here. The displays were interesting and well laid out. Staff accessible and friendly. Allow at least an hour.

We visited from Europe to see the Richie McCaw exhibit, but were fascinated by the rest as well. No entrance fee. Very attentive and helpful staff.

I felt that the museum has been untouched since most of the artifacts were placed there. A modern curator could make it a much more worthwhile experience

This boutique museum captures the history of the Waitaki Valley beautifully. Good displays and an interesting audio visual presentation. Very dedicated person looking after your visit. No charge a bonus, but opportunities to contribute. Well done Kurow.
