The 3 of us were visiting Greystone/Muddy Water on the 3rd January. The weather was really bad in the morning but by the time we got there it was the picture perfect sunny and warm afternoon you would want for a wine tasting experience. We were dashing over from Waipara Springs at about 3:50pm as we thought they close at... More

Muddy Water and Greystone are two separate vineyards and have kept the labels separate. When you go to the tasting room you can compare the two labels which I thought was really good. The wines are good quality and are typically priced for the area. They do a great Syrah which we kept for Xmas Day. The only downside is... More

Muddy waters was bought over by Greystone and they are keeping the labels separate. Muddy water vines are growing mostly on clay and Greystone's growing on limestones. Both produce good wine. However, the Chardonnay from Muddy water was nicer. The brittle star riesling from Greystone was good. Service was great and very methodical. Went through the list of wines available... More

The lady was lovely & very helpful knowing neither of us were big wine drinkers. I would recommend stopping in for... More

My wife and I were cycling the Waipara Wineries Cycle Trail and were very happy with the helpful manager at the winery. The signage on the trail was somewhat inadequate and we got lost. However, we did taste a couple of he exquisite wines at the winery, so our day was not a total loss
