Such a great experience for curious travelers! Take the train from Chur and finish in Tirano - that is the ultimate and most amazing train trip. And the Bernina Pass is so spectacular, especially by train. Amazing bridges, tunnels, views... It is not occasional that it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Both methods of travel was used to use the pass. There are others but the addition of Train Spotting probably makes this a rare gem. So clean - no litter - few people and those who were there clearly very happy to be there.

This was a wow experience, traveling from St Moritz en route to Bellagio in Lake Como. Snow capped Swiss Alps, panoramic view. Great photo ops. Sit on the right side of the train going forward from St Moritz. Train stopped at Alp Grum for photo op and people got off for 15 min. Abt 2091 meters above sea level.

This train journey is not cheap but well worth the money. The views of the mountains & lakes were breathtaking. Train is so clean & you have reserved seats for both journeys. St moritz is very expensive, the sad thing is most of the shops were closed as the train arrives at lunch time. There is a great coffee &... More

Lovely train trip from Tirano Italy up through the Alps and down in Zurich. Views were magnificent, we chose the First Class section which has the panoramic windows and well worth the extra cost. There were superb green valleys and hillsides and bright blue & green lakes. The climb out of Tirano is excellent where the train turns back onto... More

Views are amazing and breath-taking! Look out for the blue and black lakes and the snow on the mountain tops. Magical experience in this red train that that takes you high into the Alps. St Moritz was a wonderful stop and very nice lake and shops. Worth a day trip!!!

Beautiful train ride through wonderful scenery and the train takes you high into the alps. You pass bright blue lakes, very high peaks, and go along very winding tracks. It really is worth doing. We were there in September 2016 and snow was expected during the week we left. It must be even more beautiful then. We took a coach... More

This pass was a shortcut from switzerland to italy. Very fast and good roads. Nice to ride. But nothing special here, when you are looking for a thrill.

This a very unforgettable trip due its wonderful scenic sights. The ride on the train itself is something to be cherished.

Decided to do a road trip from London though 6 countries across Europe and Switzerland was one of our destination(Samedan). This was the highlight and most memorable road trip ever(with 2 young boys). Went through Bernina Pass on our way to Tirano, Italy and the experience....wow! the bends and curves, waterfalls, height mountains........
