We visited the Petroglyphs on Sunday Feb 10, 2018. The comments on the road access and signage are legit. It requires a solid 4 wheel drive or you walk further. We went there with a friend of ours from the area that had visited the...More

We hired Chuy in the town of Chacala. He was fabulous, and extremely knowledgeable. Without his guidance we would have missed a great deal. Well worth it.

We hired a guide familiar with the complex. We took a local cab to the starting point and began our hike through time Many petroglyphs and the interpretive signs were most welcome.

It's off the beaten path, but definitely worth a visit. We managed to get here via taxi and got a lift home from strangers we met on the trail, but I would probably recommend renting a car and driving. It's a fairly short hike (around 1.5...More
