It is all about Mexican folklore, they've got plenty of restaurants located all around a kiosko-style stage where there are typical dances and Mariachi. While seated in the restaurant don't miss the "cazuelas" which is pot full orange, lemmon, lime, soda and of course, a shot of tequila, this drink represents Tlaquepaque itself. The food, at least in my experience... More

Great entertainment with your meal or drinks. The casuela drink is made with a shot of tequila, fresh citrus, ice cubes and a splash of soda water. Better than a margarita

The food here is horrible. Don't go on an empty stomach. On another note, the music is great. It is definitely a fun place to hangout at. Go for drinks but eat elsewhere.

The PARIAN is like a big restaurant-cantina with a center kiosk that in weekends has folckore dance and prehispanica dances. You will always find mariachis there. I recommend to eat there the speacilty that is kind of a lamb in "pipian" (name of the sauce -it´s not spicy or hot) and acoompany it with a shoot of tequila. If you... More

If you love mariachi music, this is the place to come and enjoy, especially at 3:30 pm and 9:30 pm Fri, Sat, & Sun, for the free show. Other times, mariachi bands are wandering through the complex playing songs on demand. Food is just okay.

We were there back in 7/2010. I've heard that the great Mexican singers like Pedro Negrete and others had sang here to I had to visit. As soon as you arrive you can hear Mariachi on the back ground. Its loud but beautiful. If you can take the trumpets in your face you might not enjoy it. If you love... More

It is located in the middle of tlaquepaque, the crafts center for retail purchases. But the Parian is a great disappointment as the waiters are very apt to try to overcharge you, as they know you are a tourist and will not be back anyway. The mariachi, when they are there, are great but do not EAT there. Or if... More

In fact, you don't even have to order food at El Parian. One can sit on the park benches for free. However, I did have a meal here, at one of the restaurants, and it was certainly adequate (I had the chicken mole) and not too expensive. I checked my bill (as advised) and they had added 10% tip, but... More
