Well we went and saw.....a person's house who had died suddenly in a car crash. The house is as it was as he left it. I think we should have done some research before we went. It was recommended to us. It was overpriced at...More

The art work is not to our taste but the house further demonstrates the ingenuity of C.M. It charges the imagination as to what other lava tubes and bubbles are left unexplored. Access can be difficult if your not too steady on your pins. If...More

Here you will see his home, feel his vision, and “meet“ the man! For a very reasonable admission fee, which helps sustain the property, you will tour the home, with its lava bubble basements and see some amazing art by César and other artists. There...More

We went here first out of all our excursions. Had no idea what to expect but it was a really good introduction to the legacy that Manrique has left. The architecture of the house is unique. Thanks to a previous post, we stayed to watch...More

The house is interesting, for about 5 minutes. There are other Cesar Manrique places that are better on the island. Met by a rather unpleasant hissing "guardian" that seems to think he's in charge of a mausoleum. I suppose he doesn't have much else to...More

It's a whole lot of abstract art. A beautiful house, I have to admit, but the art style is questionable in it's claim to fame, unique definitely but some of it reminds me of projects I did in Primary School. From Puerto del Carmen the...More

I had not heard of Cesar Manrique before and was bowled over by his enthusiasm for architecture and preservation of Lanzarote so that it did not become a tourist high rise concrete hell. This was his home and a fantastic example of using the local...More

If you want to see the legacy and genius that was César Manrique, I recommend this above other locations. His house is so fantastic, creative and joyous to walk around. His paintings and wind sculptures are stunning too. All in all, this is one place...More

What an incredible place this is. It's truly unique and well worth visiting. You can't help but be full of admiration for the man who created such a place. There is so much to look at and enjoy from the pool to the gardens. It's...More

Yes but very small and basic. There's an amazing restaurant nearby that we went to with its own brewery!
