From all the reviews I have seen about Waikino Railway station, I must have gone on a bad day. We arrived to grumpy looking wait staff, and the subtle, but obvious rolling of eyes when our large order was placed. The food came out in...More

A good place for a coffee break when cycling the Hauraki Rail Trail. There are better cafes to stop for food and the young man making the milkshakes was not over joyed to see us.

A classic grumpy person who thinks a customer is an inconvenience. Service like this is Very disappointing for our NZ tourism industry.

It was winter when we got here, so the open fireplace and strong coffee in preparation for our long drive back to Auckland was very, very welcome. Quaint decor and comfy seats. Great place to recharge.

A lovely café with lots of charm. The food was beautiful and quite inexpensive. It was quite unique with the old railway outside the door about to leave and the service was excellent.

Have eaten at this cafe several times and always been impressed with the food. Menu changes regularly and the all day breakfast menu is extensive. The staff are happy to alter the cooked dishes to suit your preferences.
