The road alongside promenade seaside is very-well lit during dark. People spend hours sitting at the rock area. And to our surprise it was entirely tidy place with no hawkers.

The pondy beach, they called this as a rock beach as rocks in the sea front , i understand to reduce erosion.. It was nice and enjoyed the rock beach in the late evening when less crowded with my girlfriend.

Its not far from the Ashram. The road in front of the Promenade is blocked in evenings and only pedestrians permitted on the road. Nothing exceptional but can spare some evening or morning time for it. Not good for visiting during the day.

The long walk in the French Colony and the Promenade was a very relaxed time we had. That evening the dark clouds which was looming above our head burst into torrential rains and we had to scurry back to our car.

The view is breathtaking, and very clean beach. Though the sun doesn't help set the mood for you, but it is a beautiful beach to spend time at. Have heard the evenings are amazing but we somehow could never manage to visit in late hours...More

June would be very humid and probably rainy. There are many budget accommodations / home stays available, as can be searched on Tripadvisor also. Early booking will help you get good price. It would be a good idea to try and... More

I haven't stayed there. Just been to the bar and restaurant. It's sea facing. Stay maybe expensive. You may want to check the rates.
