Antarctica is fantastic and we loved every Iceberg, Glacier, Mountain and Penguin. However, if you are going to Antarctica and are NOT going to Iguazu Falls, DON'T go to Antarctica

Splendid! Awesome sights.!! Trip of a liftime! The incrdible white vastness, dotted with certain blue-green hues of some icebergs , they literally made you gasp!!!!. Luckily, I was able to see the huge back of a blue whale...... This truly was a dream trip come true....

The reason why we had booked this trip - the same reason why literally everyone else had booked, was to see Antarctica. Whether it be the headland, The Schollart Channel, Gerlache Straight or the Jewel of Paradise Bay.

The hours ticked by as the boat neared Antarctica then, when land came into sight, I pinched myself in total disbelief. Rugged, jagged, frozen and totally beautiful. The ice was the clearest turquoise blue that I had ever seen. Icebergs passed by, whales and penguins played around without a care in the world. The scale and enormity of everything is beyond words. At a leisurely ten knots we watched the ever changing landscape, the ice flows, the changeable weather from cold to blisteringly cold and windy.

Then the sun came out, just in time for Paradise Bay and I saw the most beautiful, awe-inspiring sight of my life. 360° of total beauty that could not be caught on any camera or written. The blues, whites and blacks painted together as majestically as it is possible. A cruise ship passing by icebergs that dwarfed it - totally amazing.

The scenery is fantastic, and the blue of the ice is bordering on unbelievable. Plenty of whale sightings and some penguins and sea lions, albeit in the distance. Weather started to turn as we got nearer the bottom.
