This is one amazing bay, full of floating ice, high peaks, and truckloads of snow, the day we cruised around it was like a mirror.

Stunning scenery but we caught a snow shower and that somewhat diminished the view. Lots of whales about, and the views we did see were fantastic

This place is just one of many fantastic places to visit in Antarctica-and here you actually set foot on the Antarctic Continent-and not just one of the Islands Down there.
The Almirante Brown Station is one of the smaller-But definately interesting to visit!.
I Will consider this place as one of the highlights of my Antarctic trip.

A highlight of my expedition to Antarctica was spending time “cruising” around Paradise Harbour in a zodiac boat. On February 17, 2020, I spent time in the morning, as well as a couple of hours specifically tailored for photography in the late afternoon, taking in all of nature’s wondrous displays. I saw penguins, a few birds and a variety of seals who clearly enjoy their “lounge” time. However, the real showstoppers were the whales who really put on a display! From seeing the expelling of water from the blowhole to being close enough to see the bumps on the back of a couple of whales, the display was non-stop. I was particularly in awe of the whale tail displays and the whale breaches. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience that will stay with me forever!

We were the largest cruise ship to ever make it into paradise bay according to our captain. That said we did not make landing as we were on a cruise through Antarctica. This place was amazing and at one point we were surrounded by whales. I turned to my wife who has traveled with me to Alaska in the past and said honey we just met Alaska’s daddy. Wow this place is huge and the wildlife and views make it one of the most spectacular places we have ever seen. Pictures do it no justice.

Our January cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse took us through the Schollaert Channel for our entry into the bay. Due to the lack of ice and the glassy clear waters the ship was the largest to every actually enter the bay. We spent over an hour as we basically did spins so everyone could get the same magnificent views. The colors of the ice were exquisite. Our Naturalist was blown away. We saw lots of sea birds, no whales in the bay itself. Bucket list, check.

Brown Station is an Argentine Antarctic base and scientific research station. It is located along Paradise Habor of Danco Coast in Antarctic Peninsula. Our expedition cruise ship sailed along the coast but has not landed the site due to swell. We could see several huts with Argentina flags/signs on the rocky beach there. The nearby cliffs were clustered with shags. Hope to land this site next time.

Visited here twice during a recent visit to Antarctica. Beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife. This place lives up to its name of Paradise Bay

We were there while on Hurtigruten's Fram...it was part of an Antarctic Peninsula voyage with many opportunities to explore.
This is a beautiful place..in fact, attempting to find the words to describe this area is difficult. The glaciers are immense, the sky is really big (I know Big Sky...I've lived in Montana) and photos can't do justice to the reality.
But, getting the penguin stamp in your passport is worth the trip and the experience will become part of your spirit.

Just one of many brilliant landings in the Antarctic peninsula. Good for penguins, glaciers, tranquillity and excitement all in one. Must be part of a wider expedition.
