Good cheap food

Nice way to spend a few hours! Taking in some local cuisine with the locals! Not chaotic, wider variety than the regular food markets of el salvador! A lively festive vibe!

The best day to go is Sunday!! They serve you A LOT of food for just $5-6. Natural juices, live entertainment and nice ambiance. You can take a 10 minute tuk tuk ride from the plaza to the waterfalls: Chorros de Calera

Around the Central Park in Juayua every weekend is the fair gastronomic, you can try all kind of different foods. We tryed the beef strip and the pork ribs all was very good . For the more adventurous sometime you can find offerings of snakes , Guinea pigs , frogs etc. Enjoi!

This was a highly recommended event while I was visiting Juayua as part of my second weekend getaway from San Salvador. The town food fest happens rain or shine every Saturday and Sunday. It is the perfect place to sample Salvadorean foods in variety and it doesn't cost much at all. The average plate cost $3 and comes with meat,... More

The feria gastronómica of Juayúa is a busy festival where one can find a lot of food stalls on the square in front of the local church. As tourists visiting the ruta de las flores we visited one Sunday lunch time. It was hard finding some good national cuisine, as it seems it´s more like the ideal occasion for the... More

Paid 5.50 for ribs with a lot of sides included. Food was good and cooked in front of you with real friendly staff. A lot of options too so make sure you have a look around and see what you want. If you are here on the weekend it is worth doing for sure

I cringe when a person who likes to eat good food refers to them self as a "foodie". However this is for people who like good food. We are talking food that is artfully prepared, with drizzle on the plate and wilted greens. Throw in a reduction and meats that are pan seared. All of these things make a foodie... More

Juayua comes alive with all sorts of wonderful food to try. Walk through the food tents and taste test all the cuisine before choosing the one that impressed you the most. Rabbit, ribs, steaks, shrimp, fish, desserts, coffee, beers, anything you could hope for, all served to you bu the friendly locals with a great big smile. Listen for the... More

You point and then grab a table or share, they cook and serve, you eat--no problem! Highly recommend the booth run by Restaurante R & R--it's located in the street just around the corner (go east and south) and about 1/2 way down the block towards the park. We got the surf&turf (grilled steak and shrimp) and the steak--the grilled... More
