Only for the fit. After the starting point which itself is a good climb. The zoo is all uphill. Tigers , leopards, bear fun for kids. But got out of breath so couldnt see the full zoo. A little tiring. But one of must visit...More

The Zoo and the entire property is very well maintained by the authorities. The place is close to the Nainital lake but you will have to drive uphill to reach it. Good place for families, especially children.

We visited Nainital zoo at the month end(May,2018) and it was amazing. The view too was great and one requires a lot stamina to see the entire zoo as it's inclined...

Sachin, yes you can visit Lake and Zoo in the evening. But i suggest, visit Zoo first as else it will become dark and all the animals will go inside their cages and you will not be able to enjoy your visit to the Zoo... More

There are state run cabs there to run from Shimla station road to take you there. Your own car cab can also take you there and drop you before 200 meters from the ticket counter.
